Thanks to Mother Goose Time the children were able to learn about my children 1-6 years of age learned about force and light. First, we worked on our listening and following directions with my older children with our color the rainbow activity. The younger children also did this same activity but we were focused more on colors and for my smallest ones they were working on holding the crayon and marking the paper. All these activities were provided for us from our Mother Goose Time Teacher's Guide. www.mothergoosetime.com
Next, we learned all about light. Their favorite activity was using their flashlights to dance with to our Flashlight, Shine Your Light song. I love to let them explore with items they may not get to use in other places. We took our flashlights everywhere; to the park, school, and even in the car.
Another great fun activity we did was on force. The children watched me demonstrate how to do the activity. Then, they were encouraged to try. First, we used stick glue all over our paper. Then, the children poured the sand onto their paper. Finally, they used their force of air to blow the sand all over the paper. One child let me know "I am working hard today." I love how mother goose engages the children in play filled with learning opportunities.
