It has been super crazy here with the holidays and children in my program having vacations days. My numbers have been very low and the age level has been all under 2. Most people would panic if you had not figured that into your lesson plan. This was not planned for in my lesson plan but I didn't panic either. When, i first started out I had all ages of children so I began getting Loose Goose as my extra item so that I could easily plan for younger children.
Little Goose follows the same curriculum and explains and plans out activities that are geared towards the children under 3. It has the activities broken down and planned out for children under 3. Now, I'll be honest in my program my two year old is very advanced so I don't use Little Goose for him. Never the less it is an amazing assets to help me plan for days when I get some younger children in my program. Mother Goose Time has it all broken down so that it is easy to follow just like the planning guide. I use the little Goose to show new families that come in what I use in my program.
As part of coming into my program, I let parents know what curriculum I use and what I expect of them to be in my program.
1. Must allow me to take photos of the children doing activities in my program. (If they want, I will block out the child's face.)
2. Parents must stay connected to my facebook page for daily updates.
3. I put questions on this page that I will ask the children the next day. (this is a way I keep our parents involved that may not be able to come to the class and volunteer.
4. They must allow me to blog and post on mother goose as well.
These are all amazing things that since using Mother Goose TIme I have learned that are helping me create a better program. I let parents know that I get great ideas from other bloggers to. Thank you Mother Goose Time for making all these great resources for us.
